Connie Hoos had helped our Mom sell our family home over 15 years ago after our Dad passed. And she did wonderful, making Mom feel more at ease with her recent loss of the love of her life, while coming to terms with knowing that she had to give up her home of 40 years that she and Dad raised us in. Dad had put his heart and soul into that house, building an addition early on, with his own two hands, that doubled the square footage. He continued updating and renovating our awesome childhood home for the rest of his life. Dad even made some of the oak renovations from his own woodworking shop in the basement, such as a staircase banister and fireplace mantel. It was an easy decision for Mom to ask Connie to help with selling another home for her again. Mom was able to stay in her last beautiful home, in her cozy little bedroom, with the help of a wonderful hospice group, to the end of her amazing life. Connie graciously visited Mom in her bedroom, where they shared tears of happiness together after all the years that had gone by. I myself commend Connie for all the hard work she did, and especially being so very patient with our own emotional family struggles throughout the whole process. Thank you Connie, from all of us. The only reason it took over twelve weeks to sell, is because of initially listing very late in the season, with winter and holidays approaching. Our family decided it was best to re-list the following spring. This also gave extra time for Mom's oldest daughter, who had been living with her for quite awhile, to find a place of her own. In reality, it was amazing that Connie found the perfect buyer within weeks of re-listing, and amidst of the world in chaos with Covid-19.
